RAMSGATE, COASTAL TOWN ON THE ISLE OF THANET, EAST KENT
Located on the East Kent coast 78 miles from London and easy to reach on the High Speed train service, Ramsgate has the largest harbour on the Isle of Thanet, embracing a fishing fleet and large leisure marina. It is a popular tourist resort for its beach and proximity to many historical sites. Historically Ramsgate is home to the Shrine of St Augustine, who landed nearby in 597AD.
